Hopeless Romantic

Right now I would love to light candles and incense, then prepare a hot bath for me and a certain special someone. We’d turn our cell phones off and put the laptop on the counter so we can watch a movie in the tub. I’d admire the way shadows play off his  tanned, tattooed skin in candlelight. I would sit between his legs and he would rub my back, gently wash my hair and kiss the hummingbird on my shoulder. I’d melt into him and sigh with complete content, my hands underwater and resting on his legs. We’d smoke a fat blunt or take bong rips in the tub and ash in the abalone shell that my best friend gave to me a few years ago. I’d ask him again if he thinks our souls have met before. He would say ‘yes, of course.’
